About Me

I discovered yoga at the age of 16 when I developed a personal movement routine which included many yoga postures. I went on to study the science of movement in sports and dance to Post Graduate level before training to teach yoga. My initial training was with the Kevala Centre in Devon and I have recently undertaken further training with Tias Little in New Mexico, USA. This training has given me greater insight into the emotional aspects of the body, the importance of soft tissues and the nature and effects of tension held in the body overtime. I found the experience very powerful and feel privileged to be able to share this knowledge with my students.

My own practice draws from both Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa techniques but I am always interested in new ways of approaching my practice and teaching. My styles are Classical Hatha yoga and Vinyasa Flow.

I teach care and maintenance of the body for all ages through alignment and core strength building and encourage a healthy mobility of the joints. I also introduce other aspects of yoga like self awareness, breathing, relaxation techniques and meditation.
